The NTCMD has been involved on these practices by carrying out a practical exercise in how to deal with the complaint of a site contaminated with mercury, by directly measuring mercury in air and soil, sampling, evaluating the contaminated site, etc. Then, specialized personnel from the CTNDM participated in performing these tasks, as well as the equipment necessary for these determinations.
Finally, a presentation was explained in which the main guidelines were indicated to deal with general contamination of a site contaminated with mercury. The presentation was titled "ENVIRONMENTAL GUIDELINES FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF CONTAMINATED SITES WITH MERCURY".
The Escuelas Prácticas RR.TT organized this year were intended to improve operating procedures through mutual understanding and support between agencies and units with competencies in technological and environmental risks.
The NTCMD participated in the exercise to identify toxic agent.
The Escuelas Prácticas RR.TT have been developed during the week from 09th to 13th December with great attendance of organizations and institutions.
