The Technological Center of Mercury has participated, from February 20th to 23th, 2018, in the international workshop " Training in Dismantling, Waste Management-contaminated sites associated with the Chlor-Alkali industry in Uruguay " organized by the National Environment Directorate of the Ministry of Housing, Territorial Planning and Environment and the collaboration of the Basel Convention Coordinating Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean Region -LATU, to present the experience of MAYASA in decontamination of contaminated sites of mercury and its management model based on its stabilization / solidification technique. Also participated in the workshop as part of the speaker team, members of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment of Spain, CIEMAT and a Spanish Chlor-Alkali company.
